NDMC cleans roads to mark Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s B’day

Member of Parliament and NDMC member Meenakshi Lekhi launched the Sanitation Drive to commemorate the ‘Good Governance Day’ being observed on the occasion of the birthday of former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Sunday. The sanitation drive, organised by the NDMC was carried out in the outer and inner circles of Connaught Place, prominent markets like Khan Market, Sarojini Nagar, Bengali Market, Shanker Market, Gole Market and major gardens and parks.

Underlining the importance of Swachhta, Lekhi said that the NDMC has undertaken a number of sustained campaigns to make the New Delhi areas clean, green and livable. The safaisevaks are Very Important Persons (VIPs) and deserved due respect in our society, said Lekhi.

On the occasion, Delhi BJP unit chief and MP from North-east Delhi Manoj Tiwari called upon the people of all walks of life for extending their support and active participation.
