NDMC asks for Rs 540 crore from CM

Leader of House in North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Mahendar Nagpal, in a letter written to  Chief Minister Sheila Dixit, has demanded the release of Rs 540 crore as grant to NDMC, in order to make the corporation economically stable and maintain balance in its budget of 2013-2014. He said NDMC has to maintain five big hospitals, out of six. In the present financial year, NDMC incurred an expenditure of Rs 206 crore for the maintenance of these hospitals, and in the coming financial year, it would increase to Rs 250 crore.
