NCC now optional elective in CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to offer NCC as an optional elective subject at Class XI-XII level. The objective is to expose the youth towards serving the nation. A CBSE official said: ‘This would help to inculcate a defense services work ethos.’ Many schools have already held pilots to introduce NCC as a subject.
