National Book Trust releases 2013 desk and wall calendars

National Book Trust (NBT) planner, NBT wall-calendar and MHRD desk calendar were unveiled by union minister for human resource development, M M Pallam Raju, at Shastri Bhawan on Wednesday. While releasing the calendars, Raju said a lot of thought has been put in the theme and design of the calendars. ‘For MHRD desk calendar, the theme has been Swami Vivekanada whose 150th birth anniversary falls on 12 January 2013. Every page of the calendar carries the quote of Vivekananda. His teachings are very important for building the character of the youth and education sector of the country,’ said Raju. The NBT wall calendar, according to the minister reflects the life style of different tribes of India. The calendar launch is a curtain-raiser to the New Delhi World Book Fair to be held from 4-10 February 2013 at Pragati Maidan.
