SDMC inaugurates newly constructed school building
New Delhi: SDMC has dedicated newly constructed building of a nursery school situated in Primary School at Basai Darapur under its west zone. Apart from this, six newly constructed class rooms have also been opened to cope up with the increasing enrolment in Primary School at Chand Nagar under west zone.
Mayor Narendra Chawla, on the occasion, said that the new infrastructure will last longer and prove to be useful. He also distributed prizes to the winners of sports competition.
The two-storey Nursery School building has been constructed with Rs 1.01 crore over an area of 1,310 sq meter. It has six rooms, one activity room and separate toilets for the boys, girls, divyang children and staff and all pictorial and other aids for the kids to enhance their interest in learning with playful manner.
The six newly constructed rooms at the three floors of the MCD Primary School at D Block, Chand Nagar have been built at the cost of Rs 1.15 crore. The five rooms are for the classes whereas a big hall is for co-curricular activities.
