'SC decision on water sharing should be implemented'

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said the apex court's ruling on the Sutlej- Yamuna Link canal and sharing of Ravi-Beas water should be implemented and the state should get its rightful share.

He said the state has presented its case on the issue in a high-level meeting on Thursday and has submitted memoranda to President and Home Minister about the rightful share of Haryana in the water, which has been decided as per agreement.

Khattar also said, "Haryana should get its rightful share of water." Notably, the Haryana government has urged the Centre to get the incomplete part of the SYL canal constructed at the earliest, and, also ensure implementation of the final verdict of the Supreme Court in this matter.
