Rawat releases logo of Youth U'khand

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Monday released the logo and browser of Youth Uttarakhand-Towards Entrepreneurship and Self Employment programme which is scheduled to be held here on March 6.

While releasing the logo, the Chief Minister said it's a historic initiative being organised by keeping the youth of the state in the centre. The move is an effort to ensure participation of the youth in the development of the state, Rawat said.

"The programme will kick start on Wednesday to attract youth for their contribution in the development of the state. As youth are the citizens of today's era, they also have to take the responsibility of state's development. So the programme is being organised to sensitise youth towards their roles and responsibilities," Rawat said.

The Uttarakhand Chief Minister further said that the event would also help in creating employment opportunities by connecting youth with employers.

"About 2.80 lakh people are directly involved in employment in the state and with the objective to provide employment opportunities to more number of youth, a mobile application has also be prepared," Rawat said, adding that the youth would be able to give their suggestions through the app, which would ensure participation of our youth in government programmes. The Chief Minister further aid that special attention has been given in the direction of skill development to provide better opportunities for self employment of our youth.
