Professor held in Bihar paper leak case

In a major breakthrough in Bihar paper leak case, the state cops on Monday arrested Professor Anand Brar, who was on the run since the scam was unearthed in February. According to sources, Brar, a Delhi-based evaluator of the clerical grade examination sheets, could help solve the high-profile case. Brar has been nabbed in Delhi with the help of Delhi police's inter-state branch. According to sources in Bihar Police, Brar is prime accused in question paper leak scam as he was the one who provided solved answers of every question.

"Given that Brar was the evaluator of the clerical examination, he used to set questions for the examinees. Brar in connivance with Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) chairman used to leak question papers in advance and later solved answers," the source said, adding that his 'confession' may help in joining the dots.

Confirming about the arrest, SIT chief and Patna SSP Manu Maharaj said that Brar would be produced before court for his transit remand. Notably, Maharaj was in Delhi to 'execute' the arrest.
