Process to select BHU's VC on: HRD

New Delhi: Clearing the air on speculations over the appointment of new vice chancellor of the BHU, the Human Resources Development (HRD) Ministry has said that the process to appoint a new VC of the BHU has not yet been completed.
The HRD Ministry issued clarification over the publication of a report in this newspaper in its Saturday edition regarding the appointment of BA Chopade as BHU's new VC.
Currently, Chopade is VC of Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. The post of BHU VC is lying vacant since last year. "The process of appointing the BHU VC is still underway. The selection panel appointed for the purpose will shortlist the names which will be communicated to the President, who is Visitor to the university," HRD spokesperson said.
