BJP best bet for Jats in UP: Shah

Reaching out to Jats, a politically crucial community in western Uttar Pradesh, BJP president Amit Shah has presented his party as the best bet for them, saying voting for the Ajit Singh-led RLD or any other party would not help their cause. Shah's reachout to the leaders of the community at a meeting at Union minister and Jat leader Birender Singh's residence here last night assumes significance ahead of the first two phases of polling in the state on February 11 and 15 where the Jats are tipped to play a key role.
