Prabhu gets green ticks on all his proposals

Following the successful debut presentation of General and Railway budget together, Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu seemed content as all his proposals got approved and accommodated in final presentation of the Budget. "Rs 1,00,000 crore was announced as passenger safety under Rail Sanraksha Kosh," a senior official said. Prabhu said: "Proposals like Coach Mitra Facility, listing of shares of PSEs like IRCTC, IRFC and IRCON in stock exchanges, elimination of unmanned level crossings on broad gauge network by 2020 have all been approved." TMC chief spokesperson Derek O'Brien said, "The decision to merge Railway with General Budget has turned out to be a damp squib which will affect the transport system."
