Bharat Parv adds colour to Incredible India campaign

The craze for selfies with Republic Day Tableaux attracted a huge gathering at Bharat Parv on Sunday in the national Capital.

According to the organisers of the event, about 1.5 lakh people visited the venue.

"Usually citizens prepare for months to get a glimpse of tableaux displayed on Rajpath on Republic Day. But they get only one side view that too in a formal way. Here, they can see the tableaux from all the angles, can click selfies, pictures and have enough time enjoying," said a senior officer of Incredible India, the Ministry of Tourism.

There is neither entry fee for the visitors nor the exhibitors and food stalls are charged for the space. The food is also much cheaper than Trade Fair.

"We had never expected so much crowed. So the stock is finished. We have asked our head office to send more," said the stall manger of Mother Dairy, who ran out of her entire stock of ice cream by 4.30 pm.

Besides a huge number of youths and residents from the Walled City, a good number of foreigners are also witnessing cultural diversity of India displayed at the ground of Red Fort through live performances.

"According to the information provided by the police, around 1.5 lakh people visited the Bharat Parv by 7.30 pm on Sunday. The event will continue till 9 pm," said a senior officer of Ministry of Tourism deployed at the Bharat Parv.
