Netaji files released on special portal launched by Ministry of Culture

Now you can access, the original documents related to the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose anytime and anywhere in the world. On the occasion of his 120th birth anniversary, the Ministry of Culture has made the scanned files of related documents online on a web portal launched after his name where the documents are available according to their release date.

"Files relating to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose are available on netajipapers.gov.in," said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet on Monday.

"Honoured that our government got the opportunity to declassify files relating to Netaji Bose and fulfill a popular demand pending for decades," he added.

The portal will be under administrative control of National Archives of India. The documents have been classified under nine categories in the order of their release from his 119th Birth Anniversary in 2016.

Some of the documents are viral on social media particularly a letter of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru complaining about Netaji's presence in Russia, calling the great leader as 'War Criminal' and demanding action against him.

There are five theme-based categories which include Widow and Daughter, NSC Bose (Annexure), NSC Bose and Parliament Question No. 5218 in Lok Sabha.
