NCR officers' sports and cultural meet concludes

New Delhi: The three-day NCR officers' sports and cultural meet, which was held in the stadium at Railgaon Colony in North Central Railways Headquarters, Allahabad concluded on Sunday.
The closing ceremony was graced by general manager, NCR MC Chauhan and his wife and president of North Central Railway Women's Welfare Organisation (NCRWWO) Amita Chauhan.
A number of track and field events like mini marathon, 100m race, 400m relay race, tug of war and kite flying were held on the last day of the meet for men and women in different age categories. All these events elicited enthusiastic participation from officers and their families.
In the three-day event, which was held from the February 2 to February 4, teams of North Central Railway Headquarters, and Allahabad, Jhansi and Agra Divisions of NCR participated. NCR Headquarters stood overall first both in the sports and cultural categories. Speaking on the occasion,GM/NCR MC Chauhan congratulated the winning teams and participants in the sports and cultural streams of the meet. Praising the sportsman spirit that was on display throughout the competition he said that such competitions serve to develop team spirit amongst the officers which has a positive impact on their day to day work.
