3 killed after tractor-trolley overturns in Jabalpur

Two women and a girl were killed and 42 others injured on Tuesday when the tractor-trolley overturned at Bargi Nagar around 30 km off the district headquarters, police said.

"The trolley overturned killing three persons including a girl after the driver lost control over the vehicle according to the initial investigations," Bargi area City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Manjeet Singh Chawla said. The injured have been admitted to a hospital, he added.

Family of one Dhuran Singh, a resident of nearby Motar village, along with their relatives were going to river Narmada to take a dip when the accident happened,

he added.

The deceased have been identified as Bhagwati Singh (65), Parwati Singh (45) and Amarwati Singh (15).

Police have launched a manhunt to arrest the tractor driver Prakash, who fled the spot.
