Mehbooba discusses development issues with Rajnath

New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence here and is understood to have discussed various development issues.
The CM apprised him of various development works going on in the state. "The development of the state has been being hampered amid the various terror attacks in the state," a source in the Home Ministry said.
"The impact of withdrawal of cases against first-time offenders involved in stone pelting also figured in the meeting," the source added.
It is also understood that Ms Mufti raised the issues of more bunkers and safe houses for the people of the border villages where Pakistan Army has been violating the ceasefire frequently.
At the behest of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the state government has withdrawn cases against 530 first time offenders who were involved in stone pelting from 2008 to 2017.
