Man found dead with bullet injuries in UP's Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar (UP): The body of a 28-year-old man was found with bullet wounds in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district, police said.

Vijay Urf Uthan Singh's body was lying in Itawa village under Budhana police station limits on Sunday, according to station house officer K P Singh.

Vijay was allegedly shot dead by Sorabh, a youth, after a confrontation over some issue, the SHO claimed.

The man's body was sent for post mortem, the officer said adding that a case was registered against Sorabh who is absconding.

Further investigation is on in the case, he added.

In another incident in neighbouring Shamli district, a man's body was found on Sunday in a suspected case of murder, a day after he had gone missing, police said.

Sohabir Singh's body was recovered from Bahawdi village in the district, they said adding that there were injury marks on the body.

Police further said that Singh's body has been sent for post mortem.

An FIR was lodged by the deceased's brother Pervinder Kumar and it is alleged that Sohabir was kidnapped from his house by Babla and later murdered by him over a dispute.

A case was registered against Babla, who is currently on the run, they said adding that police are searching for him.
