Loyalists celebrate jailed AIADMK chief Sasikala's birthday

Chennai: AIADMK faction led by T T V Dhinakaran on Friday celebrated the birthday of its jailed leader V K Sasikala, saying truth will triumph.

Hailing Sasikala as a "Sacrificial Mother," AIADMK deputy general secretary T T V Dhinakaran inserted a full page advertisement in party mouthpiece 'Dr Namadhu MGR' saying she guarded the party, the way "eyebrows protected the eyes." Praising her for taking the burden (of party) on her shoulders, he said her birthday was their 'utsav.'

Extending his best wishes to her, he said,"truth (dharma) will win soon, falsehoold (adharma) will be vanquished," apparently hitting out at rebel leader O Panneerselvam and Chief Minister K Palaniswami.

Former Ministers V Senthilbalaji, and P Palaniappan were among several loyalists who wished Sasikala on her birthday.

Though the party mouthpiece was awash with birthday greetings to Sasikala, it was curiously silent on her present age. According to Sasikala loyalists, she was born in 1957 and on Friday she entered her

61st year.
