Haryana govt to script film policy, says CM Khattar

Chandigarh: In order to make easy access for Bollywood industry and making Haryana a tourist hub, the state government announced that it would make a film policy. The Chief Minister Manohal Lal Khattar presented draft of Haryana Film Policy to Bollywood Actor Raj Kumar Rao, who called on him on Thursday at Chandigarh.
While talking to Millennium Post, Rao said that he would talk to his colleagues in Mumbai and would soon get back with its requirements.
"The CM has handed over the draft to me. I will speak about this with industry people and the policy will be unveiled very soon with our various requirements. The Policy would not only boost the film industry in the State, but also promote the Haryanavi culture world over," he affirmed.
The Newton star was in city beautiful as a special screening for his film was arranged for the Chief Minister and other officials.
Rao who has played the role of Newton in the film said, "It is a matter of pride for me that the special screening of my film 'Newton' is being done in Haryana." He stated that he himself belongs to Haryana, the land of talented people, who have brought laurels to the State and the country whenever they got an opportunity. "People of Haryana are performing better in the film industry," Rao added.
While talking about his film, he affirmed, "The film gives a good message to the society as it is based on a story of bringing about a change in the system by removing the shortcomings and encouraging the people to discharge their duties honestly. In the film, the character of Newton inspires others to act honestly and dedicatedly."
About making a mark in Oscars as official entry, Rao lamented, "Its a big deal for us as film has been selected for Oscars entry from India this year. We hope it will be able to grab the award."
About the selection of his offbeat films the Gurgaon lad said, "As an actor I am lucky to get different films. The scenario is changing now and people want to watch different and meaningful cinema."
About his future plans Rao stated, "I want to reach at a point where I can do only one film in two years,". He will be next seen in Fanney Khan along with Aishwarya Rai Bacchhan.
