EPESO official among two arrested by CBI in bribery case

New Delhi: The CBI has arrested the joint chief controller of the Explosive, Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organization (EPESO), Chennai, and a private person in a bribery case, officials said here on Saturday. The CBI carried out searches at 11 places in Chennai, Jaipur and Chandigarh, the agency's spokesperson said here.
A K Yadav, Joint Chief Controller of Explosive, Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organization, Chennai, and D Sakthivel, a private person were arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a contractor, they said.
