Dilip Kumar doing much better, not on dialysis: Doctor

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar is doing better now after being admitted to a hospital for kidney- related ailments five days ago, the doctor said on Sunday. Dr Jalil Parkar said Kumar's kidneys are functioning and he is not on dialysis.

The 94-year-old actor was admitted to the city-based Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra on Wednesday morning for treatment of dehydration and a urinary tract infection.

"He is better today. He is not on dialysis, not on ventilator. His kidney functions are improving," Dr Jalil Parkar said.

A family friend, Faisal Farooqui, also shared an update about Kumar's health on the actor's official Twitter page.
