After Delhi, Jagan's MP threatens Andhra's Spl CS

New Delhi: Amidst the controversy over the assault of Delhi Chief Secretary by AAP MLAs, a similar incident has surfaced in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.
In the fresh incident, YSRCP MP V Vijay Sai Reddy threatened Satish Chandra, who is Special Chief Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh government.
Strongly condemning the incident, the Andhra Pradesh IAS Officers Association said that such threats of vindictive action against a civil servant are deplorable and the association appeals to all political parties to desist from such irresponsible behaviour in demoralising civil service which is entrusted with the accomplishment of challenging tasks.
In a statement, AP IAS officer association's secretary Shashi Bhushan Kumar said, "It placed on record Chandra's selfless service to the cause of bifurcated state in building necessary environment to carry out administration from Amaravati."
Notably, Vijay Sai Reddy has charged the senior IAS officer and a senior IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao with corruption and helping in crossing over of YSRCP MLAs to Telugu Desam Party and allegedly threatened that action would be taken against them when YSRCP comes to power.
The association has also condemned the criminal assault by the MLAs of Delhi Assembly on Delhi's Chief Secretary on Tuesday night.
Notably, threatening IAS and IPS officers is not new for YSRC party and its leaders. Earlier, the party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had verbally threatened to send IAS officer and Krishna District Collector Ahmed Babu to Central Jail.
He had also manhandled the collector, when the officer was on duty at a government hospital in Nandigama near Vijayawada, overseeing medical relief to the injured in a road accident.
In another incident, Jagan had threatened the senior police officers in Vizag that they were trying to stop someone "who could be the next chief minister of AP in another two years."
He had also indicated that he was aware of the cops' names and will take action against them after coming to power. Jagan was accompanied by Vijay Sai Reddy and
other leaders who also resorted to threatening the police officers.
In the past, YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy was arrested for slapping Air India official for not allowing his family members to board the flight after they arrived late.
