5 killed, 35 injured in clash over land dispute in Raj

Five persons were killed and 35 others were injured on Tuesday in a clash between two groups over a land dispute in Doroli village of Alwar district.

Alwar SP Rahul Prakash said two groups of the Mali community, led by Battu Ram Saini and Lala Ram Saini, clashed at Doroli village in the district over a piece of land in Nadbai tehsil of Bharatpur.
The warring groups threw stones and opened fire at each other. As a result, five persons were killed, Prakash told PTI.

Administrative officials had got the land freed from Lala Ram on March 27, but he continued to cultivate crops on it, which led to the clash.
Those killed were identified as Sia Ram Saini, Premvati Saini, Karn Singh, Bahadur Saini and Nannuram Saini.
