Name those linked to EWS scam: AAP tells police

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday demanded from the Congress, the BJP and Delhi Police to make public the names of those politicians who were allegedly involved in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) admission scam.  

It is an established fact that the Delhi Police under the Narendra Modi government is hesitant to take quick action against the BJP and Congress leaders involved in the EWS admission scam.

“The main suspect in the EWS admission scam has stated publicly that he was under the influence and working in connivance and knowledge of a former Congress minister and a BJP legislator. The police has chosen to be silent on Congress and BJP leader and no revelation or arrest has been made so far,” said senior AAP leader  Dilip Pandey on Wednesday.

On the contrary, when it comes to AAP leaders and MLAs, the police are proactive in framing inflated charges and public humiliation of the elected leaders, Pandey added.

EWS admission scam kingpin Punita and her husband Prince has come out to declare that the scam happened with the leadership of a former Congress minister and a BJP MLA. “Aam Aadmi Party appeals to the Delhi Police that they stop being an instrument in the hands of the Central BJP government and rather focus on helping Delhi government create a safe state for the people. We demand that the names of the Congress and BJP leaders in the EWS admission scam need to be exposed and they be brought to book,” party leader Durgesh Pathak, who was present in the press conference, said.

The AAP had resolved that it will continue to expose the hypocrisy of the Delhi Police working under the directions of the Prime Minister and will not let them punish the Delhi residents for outrightly rejecting the BJP in state.
