Nadda pushes for job oriented courses

Pushing for channelisation of youth power for the growth and development of country, Union Health Minister JP Nadda stressed on inclusion of more courses on job orientation in the higher education system. Addressing vice-chancellors of south zone, the union minister said, “The higher education system should focus more on ‘job orientated’ courses, which will help in enabling youths to contribute constructively to the growing economy.”

“Skill upgradation and skill orientation of higher education is a priority area for the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A higher education system needs to equip the youths with tools for the job market,” Nadda said addressing a conference of VCs at Vellore Institute of Technology. The minister added that the focus of the government is to empower the youth with productive skills in order to realise their immense potential in nation building. That is the purpose of the government embarking on a skills development programme by different ministries.
