N Railways honours four staff with safety awards

Keeping with the practice of honouring employees, whose alertness and prompt action have resulted in averting a possible accidents, through safety awards, Northern Railway honoured the services of four of its employees through safety awards at a ceremony held at Northern Railway headquarters office, Baroda House, New Delhi on Monday. The safety awards were presented by VK Gupta, general manager, Northern Railway. Also present on this occasion were Gyan Prakash Srivatsava, chief safety officer, Northern Railway and the principal heads of all departments of Northern Railway.
The four employees who were felicitated by the general manager for their services are: Santosh Kumar, assistant station master, Delhi division, Paramjeet Singh, loco pilot, Delhi Division; Babloo Lal, assistant loco pilot, Delhi division and Kalu Ram, gangman, Delhi Division.

Alertness at midnight hours by Santosh Kumar noticed that three goods trains passed with open doors. He informed to control office as well to next station master. Quick action by stopping the train for closing the doors averted a possible mishap enroute.
