Mystery shrouds over death of a B Tech Ist year student who was found lying in campus of a college in Greater Noida on Wednesday morning. Police said that the student was in a pool of blood which indicates that he would have either jumped himself or was forced to jump by others from the terrace of a hostel of the college. Post-mortem report is awaited. Meanwhile, his college friends have claimed that he was running upset for the last few weeks but police has yet to establish their claim as no suicide note has been found yet.  The incident occurred at around 6.30 am when Mohit Kumar, an Ist Year Mechanical trade student of NIET Engineering collage at Knowledge Park went for a walk at the terrace of Hostel, where he jumped off from the hostel terrace at forth floor. As he fell down, a loud thud, alarmed the hostel warden who ran for his help, informed the police and the college management.. “Mohit was taken to Kailash hospital in critical condition where he was declared brought dead on arrival by the senior doctors. Mohit was on leave and had gone to Bihar for last couple of days; he came back to the hostel on Tuesday and attended all the lectures with his other hostel mates. All the first year students of B Tech were staying in the hostel building. As per his room mates revealed he had talked to his family members last night at around 12 pm and went for a sleep. He was looking depressed over some issue from yesterday (Tuesday)” said Dr Ajay Kumar, senior professor of NIET. No suicide note was recovered at the spot and from his room. The police are enquiring with the students but have not ruled out the reason of why he took such an extreme step. Prima facie , it appeared to be a suicide case. “ Mohit was topper in 10th and 12th class and had over 85% attendance in college also. He had scored good marks in internal assessments tests” added Ajay kumar.
