Mutilated body of woman found in Krishnanagar

Tension gripped Krishnanagar after the mutilated body of a middle-aged woman was recovered from a forest at Aranghata here on Sunday afternoon. After getting information, police reached the spot and recovered the mutilated body. No one has been arrested in this connection. 

The police suspect that the woman was raped and subsequently murdered. The criminals mutilated the body into 12 parts and threw her body at separate places to create confusion. Local people saw a portion of her leg lying near the Aranghata forest. 

Some of them entered the jungle and discovered some other parts of the body. They raised an alarm and informed the police.
