Mulayam Singh lauds 100 days of son’s rule

Samajwadi Party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav has given full marks to his son Akhilesh Yadav for completing 100 days in office as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

‘Though assessment of any government should be made after six months of rule, still, after 100 days, this government should be given cent per cent marks for its achievement,’ he told reporters here on Friday.

Yadav appreciated the government for its resolve to fulfill poll promises in its first three months and for putting an end to corruption.

‘Law and order is under control in this government while wheel of development has started rolling in the state,’ he claimed.

Yadav said that the party has started its poll preparation for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and hoped that the Third Front would emerge at the time of the polls.

‘SP has already announced its support to Pranab Mukherjee as the party thinks that the President do not belong to any political party,’ he said.

Meanwhile, SP spokesperson Rajendra Choudhury claimed that the Akhilesh Yadav government has ended the ‘unannounced’ emergency clamped by the previous Mayawati government in the state.

Lauding 100 days of the SP government, he said that people of the state have started ‘breathing freely’ in the present regime.
