Mujhse Dosti Kaorge! failure left Kunal ‘heartbroken’

Bollywood director Kunal Kohli was shattered when his first directorial venture Mujhse Dosti Karoge! met with a disaster at the box-office 13 years ago. The filmmaker to Twitter to relive the memories of his maiden project, which on Sunday completed 13 years.

#13YearsOfMDK I was heartbroken when it didn’t work. Adi (Aditya Chopra) believed in me and pushed me to work on Hum Tum. <g data-gr-id="20">Rest</g> is history. <g data-gr-id="19">Thanks</g> Adi,” Kohli wrote. 

Produced by Aditya Chopra, the 2002 film was a love triangle starring Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor. Post Mujhse Dosti Karoge!<g data-gr-id="17">,</g> the director helmed Hum Tum, Fanaa, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and Teri Meri Kahaani.”

The director is all set to make his acting debut with Jennifer Winget <g data-gr-id="18">starrer</g> Phir Se..., which is co-directed by Kohli and debutant filmmaker Ajay Bhuyan.
