Talking about Menstrual hygiene

A fictional story inspired from true accounts, Phullu follows a man on a journey he never imagined he would take. Starting as a married, irresponsible, unemployed and good for nothing man, Phullu’s (Sharib Hashmi) life turns around completely when he finally listens to his wife and goes to the city to find work. There he finds out about sanitary napkins and the harsh problems that the women in his village face. Phullu finds his purpose.

After this, his real test starts when everyone in his village asks him to leave considering him a shameless man, as he talk to women about their sanitary needs. The beauty of the movie lies in the fact that Phullu doesn’t go through all this trouble for his wife or mother or sister, but for the whole women kind.
