More than 100 people suffer from diarrhoea in Asansol

More than 100 people were suffering from diarrhoea at several areas in Asansol. A medical team has reached the area and started the treatment. The civic employees have started collecting water samples as they suspect that the incident took place due to water contamination.  According to civic officials, the contamination caused due to a leakage in drinking water supply line. Officials said the infection mainly affected Lakshampur in Kulti. People in the area complained of nausea and fever since three days. On Monday morning, nearly 100 people got affected with diarrhoea and were admitted to state run and private hospitals.
