A view of the inaugural function of the National Flag on a 100-feet-high monumental flagpole hoisted by Himachal Pradesh CM Virbhadra Singh at the historical Ridge in Shimla on Thursday. With this, Shimla joined 64 places in the country where 100 or more than 100-feet- high Tricolour has been installed, while it is second such flag in the state after Kullu. The Tricolour weighs 5 kg and is made from knitted polyester fabric. This flag hoisted on the occasion of Vijay Diwas has been dedicated to Indian soldiers, who laid down their lives for the nation.
