Modi’s rallies have failed to make an impact in UP: Mulayam

Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday said that recent public meetings of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Uttar Pradesh has failed to make an impact giving a clear indication that a Third Front government will come to power at the Centre after Lok Sabha elections.

‘There is no impact of Modi Sahab’s rallies in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP knows that hence it has started attacking the state government in their public meetings because it is afraid of Samajwadi Party’, he told reporters in an impromptu press conference.

Yadav was in the Hardoi city to attend a private function of the grandson of SP leader Naresh Agarwal. The function was held at the Government Inter College ground.

‘The Third Front is not in existence now but it will be formed after the elections. Neither the BJP nor the Congress will get the magic numbers in the elections, hence there will be the only option of a Third Front government,’ he said.

Yadav said that regional parties will sweep Lok Sabha elections in different states while the SP will win over 60 seats in the state.

When his attention was drawn over the Union steel minister Beni Prasad Verma’s claim of Congress winning 50 seats in the state and the SP only two, the SP chief said that first Verma should win his own Lok Sabha seat and after that make claim about his party’s victory.
