Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is arriving in the national capital on 5 April to participate in the BJP’s central election committee meeting. This would be the first meeting of the panel after the reconstitution of the team by BJP president Rajnath Singh.
The meeting gains significance as many BJP leaders said on Tuesday that Lok Sabha polls were around the corner. With Modi emerging as the party’s mascot for the next Lok Sabha polls, his interventions in the meeting on 5 April would be closely monitored.
‘While the Congress campaign would be led by Rahul Gandhi, Modi is expected to lead our campaign. It would be an interesting battle to watch,’ said a senior party leader.
