Modern stadium planned at Rajender Nagar

Soon, a new modern stadium would be commissioned at Rajender Nagar with all equipments and facilities at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore near Loha Mandi.

The Delhi industries and labour minister and Rajender Nagar MLA Ramakant Goswami on Friday stated that with commissioning of the new stadium players would benefit. Goswami interacted with the representatives of Resident Welfare Associations [RWAs] at Delhi secretariat. Goswami further stated that there is no difficulty in power and water supply during summer season in localities coming under Rajender Nagar assembly constituency. In order to improve sewer system in the constituency, a major scheme to lay trunk sewer line is under consideration.

He added that 10 major roads would be re-laid and strengthened after the rainy season. A multilevel parking would come up to overcome parking problem. According to Goswami, 4,500 senior citizens are being disbursed pension under his constituency. As the city government has earmarked 65 per cent of its plan outlay on social sector, there would be no shortage of funds for pension, scholarships and other financial grants.
