‘Modern laws for smart cities’

<g data-gr-id="12">Cyber security</g> crime will be a major challenge for the Government’s ambitious plan of developing 100 smart cities making it imperative to replace traditional laws with modern ones focusing on crimes related to digital information, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs, Pradip Bhattacharya has said.

Speaking at a conference of FICCI, he said the initiative may require not only comprehensive modernisation of the structure and operation of police forces but also a more flexible legal 
framework.
