Missing bank employee found dead in canal

The body of a bank employee was found in Siliguri-Phulbari canal on Saturday morning.

The victim Jayanta Saha, who used to work in the loan recovery section of a bank, was missing for the past few days. 

His motorbike was recovered from near Gajoldoba at Dooars on Wednesday.

He had left home to go to the house of a person from who he had recover an amount that was taken as loan from the bank.

But he didn’t return that night and his family members initiated a search and lodged a complaint with the police. His mobile was also in switched off mode.

Police initiated a probe but yet to ascertain the exact reason behind Saha’s death.
