Miscreants stab two Trinamool Congress workers in Haldia

Two Trinamool Congress workers were stabbed by some CPI(M)-backed miscreants at Girish More area of Haldia on Sunday night. Two Trinamool Congress workers Bubai Mondal and Bijoy Madhab were going towards Girish More from Durgachak when the miscreants stopped them on their way. 

Before the victims could realise anything, the miscreants took out sharp weapons and stabbed them. 

The accused, who came on a motor cycle, fled from the spot after the incident. The victims had started screaming in pain by that time. After hearing it, local people rushed to the spot and found them lying in a pool of blood. 

They rushed the two victims to Haldia sub-divisional hospital where they are undergoing treatment. 

According to the doctors, their condition is stable and they are recovering slowly. Police have started an investigation in this connection. They are conducting raids to arrest the culprits. 

The district Trinamool Congress leaders have alleged that CPI(M)-backed miscreants had led the attack on their supporters. The local CPI(M) leaders, however, denied the charges and said that it was a result of a fall out between two groups within their party. 

It may be mentioned that Trinamool Congress party office in Haldia was ransacked by goons on Saturday night. 

A party office at Priyambada in Haldia was ransacked by goons and they damaged the furniture. 

Ever since the poll result was announced clash between various political parties have broken out. In various places across the North Bengal Trianmool Congress have been attacked by Congress backed goons. 

Some Trinamool Congress workers were beaten up by goons at Ketugram in Burdwan on Sunday. 

In South Bengal also clashes broke out between CPI(M) and Trinamool Congress supporters in which many party supporters from both sides have been injured. 

In Dinhata seven Trinamool Congress workers including a local panchayat member were badly beaten up by Congress men. A party office was also ransacked and the party workers were lynched when a meeting was going on at a party office of Trinamool Congress.
