Miscreants hurl bombs at cops, injure six

When the police personnels were patrolling Tildanga area on Friday night they heard explosions in a nearby area and they rushed to the spot.

 When they reached the spot, some miscreants who were talking shelter in the roof of some village houses hurled bombs at the police personnels. The injured six were taken to the Jangipur sub-divisional hospital where three of them were released after primary treatment.

Police suspect that the miscreants assembled at the spot to carry out criminal activities. But as the police reached the spot their attempt failed. The criminals had hurled bombs on the police to avoid an arrest.

Police are conducting raids at the criminal hideouts in the area to nab the culprits. The incident has however triggered tension in the area. According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the miscreants had hatched a plan to carry out dacoity in the area.
