Misconduct complaint against 5 cops

Five policemen  have been found involved in two cases of alleged misconduct, police said on Saturday.

The first case was reported from the Keshav Puram police station. The Delhi Police Vigilance Branch received a complaint that included a few audio clips. SI Krishan  was allegedly found involved in a civil dispute, telling a party that he would manage the case in their favour. 

In another recording, Keshav Puram police station SHO Inspector RS Mann was heard negotiating with the party, promising to do whatever needed in exchange of something in return, police said.
Further, the Vigilance Branch found that another SI, Sandeep, had allegedly misbehaved with the complainant. All three police officials were shifted to district lines.

In the second case, two head constables – Ram Kishan and Ashwani <g data-gr-id="33">Tiyagi</g> posted at Shakarpur police station – detained three persons and asked Rs 50,000 for their release, police said. However, they later settled for Rs 20,000. When the complainant paid Rs 8,000 to them, they released two persons. They said they would release their accomplice only when the complainant would pay the remaining Rs 12,000.  <g data-gr-id="32">Investigation</g> has been initiated against the two head constables, police said.
