MHA hands over list of 20 to Bangladesh for crackdown

In a confidential letter, a copy of which is in possession with Millennium Post, the MHA has claimed that they have enough evidence of involvement of these ‘jihadist’ of working against India and has asked for a crackdown on them.

‘We have also alerted them that these men are also hatching conspiracy to topple the Bangladesh government. We have given their names along with their residences and name of their organizations. Our government has also promised them to provide all kind of help in dealing with these people,’ sources in MHA said.

National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval during his visit to West Bengal in the wake of     Burdwan blast case found the involvement of these ‘men’ behind the whole conspiracy. The letter alerts about Uloom Kamil madrasa at Chapinawabgunj, Jamia Arabia Bag-e-Jannat Qawmi madrasa near Benapole Check Post, Jamia Arabia Imadadul Uloom madrasa at Faridabad (Bangladesh), which are used to conduct regular meetings against India.

It was learnt that the communication between the two countries took place on 19 November and both agreed to initiate stern action against these men whose names came out during the investigations into Burdwan blast. The names in the list includes: Md. Habib-ur-Rahman (Central Sura member of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh-JMB), Md. Ismail Finga (high command of JMB), Hafej Moulana Manirul (JMB member), Md. Abu Bakkar Siddique (JMB high command), Md. Irfan Reza (JMB secretary), Md Abdul Karim (JMB high command), Moulana Ayeshuddin (JMB secretary), Moulana Faysal (Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami-HuJI leader), Bakhtiar Hussian (HuJI), Hassan (HuJI) etc.

The significant development came after Bangladesh State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal in October said that they are awaiting India’s ‘input’ over the Burdwan blast case in which members of banned outfit the JMB and others were allegedly involved.‘We got these names during the interrogation of those who were arrested in connection with the blast in West Bengal. Most of these operatives are hiding in Rajshahi, Nawgaon, Jessore, Khulna districts in Bangladesh and we have given specific information about their presence in Bangladesh. We are hopeful that they will immediately start a crackdown on these people,’ well placed sources said.

On 2 October 2014, an explosion occurred in a house in the Khagragarh locality of Burdwan and two JMB terrorists were killed. On October 9, the Centre handed over the Burdwan blast case to NIA and probe revealed that a conspiracy to make deep roots in West Bengal, Bihar and in Kerala by Bangladeshi terror outfits was hatched between 2011-2013. During these years series of meetings were conducted by the terror groups in the bordering areas of West Bengal.

This is for first time that the Centre has taken a suo motu decision to hand over a probe into a bomb blast case in any part of the country to the NIA since this premier agency was created in 2008 after the Mumbai terror attack. So far six persons, including two women, have been arrested this connection.
