The poor people in the areas were mostly benefitted under this scheme. The socio-economic condition of people was completely changed through Kanyashree, Yuvoshree, Sabuj Sathi and various other projects. New hospitals and training institutes have come up in various parts.

Banerjee has restored the peace in the Jangalmahal which had been missing for many years. Many of those who were involved in extremist activities returned to the main stream of life and got the benefits of various schemes and financial aids.

Programme implementation department is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that all the projects are properly implemented so that the people especially in the backward areas can get benefits of various schemes.
