Meerut doctor beaten to death for opposing sexual assault on daughter

 A 42-year-old doctor was mercilessly beaten to death on Monday near Meerut in Uttar Pradesh by a group of young men, after he raised his voice against his daughter being molested by them. Investigations revealed that Indresh Parashar, father of the girl was returning home from his clinic when he was intercepted midway by three young men armed with iron rods and sticks.

They started abusing Indresh for threatening to inform the police about their misconduct with his daughter on a regular basis. It was learnt that the trio, allegedly brothers, used to harass his daughter and even tried to molest her. Despite repeated warnings, the boys didn’t listen and teased her whenever she stepped out of her house.

Indresh was aware about the matter and recently threatened them that he would report the matter to the police. Sensing danger, the men thrashed him brutally and fled the spot. He was rushed to a nearby nursing home where he was declared brought-dead. His family members lodged a complaint with the local police. The accused have been identified as Nishu, Rahul and Mayank.

‘One of the accused Nishu has been arrested and hunt is on for the remaining two’, police said. Police have also detained their father Ashwini Sharma for interrogation.
