Mayor tastes mid-day meal to reassure students

Three days after a principal and two others fell ill after consuming mid day meal food, North Delhi mayor Azad Singh on Thursday inspected a school and tasted the meal to restore the confidence of teachers and students. The mayor directed the staff and teachers to ensure better hygiene and cleanness.
‘The food was satisfactory,’ said the mayor after tasting food at a primary school in Inderlok Colony. He further added that I have been a teacher and understand the responsibilities of a teacher. He also interacted with students about the quality of food and on classroom matters.
During his inspection, Singh found the school building in Shashtri Nagar area in a bad condition and directed the officers to repair it at the earliest. Singh also visited the municipal teachers’ physical training camp at Kishan Ganj. Addressing the teaches here, he said that the teachers should also know the innovations in the field of education.
