Matthew offered villain’s role in The Dark Tower

Actor Matthew McConaughey has been offered a villain’s role in Stephen King’s The Dark Tower.

According to a source, Sony wants McConaughey to play Walter Padick, the Man in Black, in Sony and MRC’s adaptation of King’s The Dark Tower franchise, reports variety.com.

McConaughey has just received the script and has not yet decided whether he will star. Sony and MRC declined to comment.The Gunslinger will be the first in a series of films.
