Matt and I chose to move on: Kate Hudson on split

Actress Kate Hudson has finally opened up about the reason behind her split with Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy.

The couple quietly separated in 2014 but never talked about what led to the split. They now raise their four-year-old son together. Hudson also has a son from her <g data-gr-id="26">ex-husband</g> Chris Robinson.

“Relationships ending are painful, and you can choose to carry that or you can choose to reframe it. If Matt and I had a great relationship, we would still be together, but we chose to move on because we had different visions of how we wanted to live our lives,” she told Allure magazine.

“That doesn’t mean, though, that we can’t rebuild something that would be the best thing for the kids.” 

Hudson said despite their split, they have stayed in touch for their children.

“We said, ‘We need to try to create something for the kids where they feel like they’re gaining something rather than losing something’. It’s been a seamless transition. Kids just want to see their parents be cool. Everybody’s cool, everybody’s good.”  On the other hand Kate and her new man, Nick Jonas, went clubbing. The Golden Globe winner looked stunning in a black cutout jumpsuit. She exited the venue separately with him.
