Mariah Carey to join America’s Got Talent?

Singer Mariah Carey is reportedly in talks to join the judging panel of reality television series America's Got Talent.

The 45-year-old singer who split from the show's host Nick Cannon last June, six years after marriage, will apparently replace judge Mel B, reported Life and Style magazine.

“They want to tap Mariah to fill in just in case Mel B (Melanie Brown) needs some time off. Mariah has made it clear that she'd go for it if the scheduling worked out,” said a source.

Despite splitting from the One Sweet Day hitmaker, Nick, 34, has given producers the green light to hire his estranged wife.

“He shocked everyone when he said it was a great idea. Having Mariah on the show would make it must-see TV.” 

Judge Howard Stern, who recently confirmed he is leaving the NBC series after the current season, is also keen to have Mariah on board.
