Man with multiple criminal charges nabbed in Dwarka

A 22-year-old man, wanted in a case of unnatural sex and extortion, was arrested by Delhi Police from Dwarka Sector 2 area, police said on Sunday. He was arrested in connection with a vehicle theft case.

The police also claimed to have solved a dozen cases of snatching and vehicle theft.

The accused, identified as Vinay, came under the police radar, when the South West District police, started a clampdown on auto theft. Technical and manual surveillance was mounted to search Vinay.

He was apprehended immediately after identification. Two mobile phones that he had stolen were recovered from him. Furthermore, a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle was also recovered from the Vinay’s hideout.

The police discovered that he was involved in several criminal cases and also a case of unnatural sex.

“Around six months ago, the accused had spiked a boy’s drink and after he lost consciousness, Vinay allegedly raped him. The accused also filmed the entire act and then threatened to release it on the Internet. The victim was harassed on a regular basis and had to pay him money after which he registered a complaint at Dadbri Police station,” said a senior police official.

The police are also on the lookout for other accused.
