Man thrashes wife and mother-in-law, arrested

The public did not come forward to help a woman while she and her mother were allegedly being beaten up by her husband in the middle of a road in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar area on Saturday morning. 

The victim, Kiranjeet Kaur, alleged that the police  refused to register her case. But the police claimed that they have registered the matter and her husband has been arrested. 

Kaur has alleged that her husband Nikhil Grover often harassed and thrashed her over dowry because of which she returned to her mother’s house.

The police said Kaur and  Grover’s relationship was strained for the past few years.

In a video shot by a passerby, Grover is seen thrashing Kaur and her mother. A case of domestic violence has been registered against Grover at the Tilak Nagar police station.
